Belgian Offshore Days 2026 return to Ostend

On 11 and 12 March 2026, Ostend hosted a new edition of the Belgian Offshore Days, the annual gathering for professionals in the offshore wind industry. Over the course of two days, companies, researchers, policymakers and other experts from Belgium and abroad came together to exchange knowledge, discover innovations and launch new collaborations.

The event took place at the ACEG Wellington Hippodrome and was organised by Offshore Wind International, with the Belgian Offshore Cluster acting as host. The programme combined an exhibition floor featuring over 95 exhibitors, specialist conferences, inspiring pitches and plenty of networking opportunities. A total of more than 2,000 participants were expected, making the Belgian Offshore Days one of the most important meeting places for the offshore wind sector in Belgium and beyond.

The conference addressed current topics such as technological innovations in offshore wind, international cooperation and the further development of the offshore value chain. In addition to the conferences and the exhibition, there were also round table discussions, networking opportunities and the presentation of the Offshore Oscars, which highlighted special achievements within the sector.

Importance for Ostend and the blue economy

Events such as the Belgian Offshore Days are extremely important for Meet in Oostende. Not only do they strengthen Ostend's position as a centre for the offshore wind industry, they also contribute to the broader ambition to further put the city on the map as an international conference destination within the blue economy.

By attracting leading sector conferences and trade fairs to Ostend, the city becomes a natural meeting place for professionals working in offshore energy, maritime innovation and sustainable economic development. Initiatives such as the Belgian Offshore Days demonstrate how conferences and trade fairs can contribute to knowledge sharing, collaboration and international visibility for both the sector and the city.

With its strong maritime cluster, research institutions and companies active in offshore wind and marine technology, Ostend is therefore a logical home base for events that shape the future of the blue economy.
