Ensor 2024 - Evening events

The year of 2024 marks the 75^th anniversary of James Ensor’s death. Except for three years as a student in Brussels, Ensor (1860-1949) spent his entire life in Ostend. Ostend, the City of James Ensor, will be commemorating this highly renowned resident on a grand scale with a festival that will run from mid-December 2023 to September 2024. With various exhibitions, activities and events, 2024 will be one big Ensor extravaganza.

It goes without saying that a festival like this is the perfect backdrop for a corporate activity. Plan a group visit with your colleagues or business partners and turn it into a truly unique experience by booking an exclusive evening event. Rose, Rose, Rose, à mes yeux! - Mu.ZEE

15 June 2024 - 30 September 2024

- Ostend was a never-ending source of inspiration to Ensor.

The exhibition examines his special relationship with the city.

James Ensor: Satire, Parody, Pastiche - The James Ensor House

19 September 2024 - 12 January 2025

- An exhibition focusing on Ensor’s typical sense of humour and caricatures.
