FEFPEB congress

Fedustria, the Belgian employers' organization for manufacturing companies in the textile, wood, and furniture sectors, organized a congress on behalf of FEFPEB (European Federation of Wooden Pallet and Packaging Manufacturers). This event brought together professionals from the wooden packaging industry from across Europe and from overseas regions such as Canada, the United States, and Brazil. It served as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions on the latest developments in the sector, including sustainability, regulations, and market trends. The program included conferences, presentations, company visits, and several social activities.

Filip De Jaeger from FEFPEB testifies: "Venues such as the Thermae Palace and Fort Napoleon were highly appreciated by our guests. The Thermae Palace offered an elegant setting for the plenary sessions and guest accommodations, while Fort Napoleon provided a unique and historic atmosphere for the evening social activities. The carefully designed partner program provided a varied experience, giving participants the opportunity to better discover Ostend and visit the magnificent James Ensor House. From a logistical standpoint, everything ran smoothly thanks to the support of local partners and the logistical coordination provided by Meet in Oostende."

"The collaboration with Meet in Oostende was seamless. Their expertise and local knowledge undoubtedly played a crucial role in streamlining the organization, from finding suitable venues to coordinating logistical details. Their extensive network and valuable advice significantly contributed to the success of the event. Additionally, the flexibility of the central contact person, their proactive approach, and their readiness to accommodate our needs—always with a smile—made all the difference.

We particularly want to emphasize that the collaboration with local partners such as Meet in Oostende greatly enhanced the overall experience of the congress. The event’s success was not only due to its content but also to the hospitality and professionalism we encountered. As organizers, we were exceptionally well-supported and relieved of critical tasks for the event. This certainly strengthens our consideration of Ostend as a venue for future events."
