On the site that formerly housed Jan’s Café you will now find Gastrobar Sam. It has the same cosiness and warmth, yet the open kitchen gives it a brisk and contemporary atmosphere. In Sam Vancoppenolle’s low-threshold gastrobar you opt for gastronomic quality at a fair price; organic beef, North Sea fish and products from the short chain are the trademark here. Specialities include Tomahawk steak, fresh béarnaise with hasselback fries, tomates-crevettes with shrimp caught by our Ostend fishermen or home-made shrimp, bouillabaisse and gorgonzola croquettes. You can visit the gastrobar seven days a week from six o’clock until midnight to enjoy a drink at the bar, share some yummy bites to eat or enjoy an evening of gastronomic highlights.
