Ostend – From May 22 to May 25, 2025, Ostend will once again host Ostend at Anchor, Belgium’s largest maritime festival. This major event attracts thousands of visitors each year and highlights both the rich history of sailing and the future of the maritime sector.

With up to 200,000 visitors and an international audience, Ostend at Anchor is a must-see event for maritime enthusiasts. The festival blends classic sailing traditions with a forward-looking perspective, seamlessly merging history and innovation.

Visitors can enjoy a diverse program featuring lectures, demonstrations, performances, and workshops. The festival will also include 80 exhibition stands and the opportunity to admire 150 historical and modern vessels. A broad audience is expected, ranging from sailing aficionados to families looking for a unique experience.

A Historic Fleet as the Festival’s Backdrop

Mare Frisium – A former herring lugger, later transformed into a luxurious three-masted schooner, with a capacity of 120 passengers.
Minerva – Built in 1935, this ship was restored in 1987 to its original state and can now accommodate 90 passengers.
De Jantje – Originally constructed as a fishing vessel in 1930, this ship was later converted into a brigantine, known for its speed and maneuverability. Today, it is a luxurious vessel accommodating 36 passengers.
